RICKY BEATY

Offensive Coordinator / Associate Head Coach

Coach Beaty is currently in his first year as Head Football Coach at Salado High School. He previously served as the Offensive Coordinator at Georgetown High School (2016-2023), breaking multiple school records and accumulating 8 playoff wins.  Prior to Georgetown, he served as the QB coach at Weatherford High School (2013-2016), and WR coach at Hardin Simmons University (2012-2013).

    Defensive Coordinator

    Coach Bresnehen is in his 24th year as a football coach, and entering his first season in Salado as the Defensive Coordinator.

    Offensive Coordinator / Associate Head Coach

    Coach Zajicek is in his 12th year as a football coach, and entering his first season in Salado as the Offensive Coordinator and Associate Head Coach.

  • KYLE ALLRED

    DB's / Asst JH Track

    Coach Allred is in his 28th year as a football coach and is entering his 3rd season in Salado.  He will be coaching the defensive secondary and assist with junior high track.

    QB's / Asst Baseball

    Coach Brewer is in his 37th year as a coach and entering his 1st season in Salado.  He will be coaching Quarterbacks and also serve as an assistant coach in Baseball and Junior High Basketball.

    Coach Brown is in his 3rd year coaching and entering his 1st season in Salado.  He will be coaching Tight Ends and Wide Receivers and also serve as an assistant Track Coach.

    DL / Asst Track

    Coach Byrd is in his 39th year as a football coach, entering his 7th season in Salado. He will be coaching the defensive line and serve as an assistant Track Coach.

  • JUSTIN EDMONDSON

    LB's / Asst Track & Wrestling

    Coach Edmondson is in his 3rd  year as a football coach, serving all of that time in Salado.  He will be coaching linebackers and also serve as an assistant in Track and Wrestling.

    CALEB PEREZ

    DL / Head Powerlifting / Asst Track

    Coach Perez is in his 11th  year as a football coach, and entering his 4th season in Salado.  He will be coaching the defensive line and also serve as Head Powerlifting Coach and an assistant in Track.

    DB's / Head Track

    Coach Rives is in his 19th  year as a football coach, and entering his 9th season in Salado.  He will be coaching the defensive secondary and also serve as Head Track Coach.

  • HARRISON SIMS

    WR's / Asst Baseball

    Coach Sims is in his 4th  year as a football coach, all in Salado.  He will be coaching the wide receivers and also serve as an assistant in basketball and baseball.

    Coach Youngblood is in his 15th  year as a football coach, and entering his 3rd season in Salado.  He will be coaching Running Backs and also serve as Head Wrestling Coach and an assistant in baseball.

Varsity and JV football demand total buy-in. Here’s what’s expected from every player:

  • Full participation in all off-season and in-season training

  • Strong academic standing and personal conduct

  • Commitment to film study, game prep, and practice intensity

  • Respect for teammates, coaches, officials, and the Salado community

  • Willingness to lead — vocally or by example
